Online scan any file for Virus Malware Free of cost

Online scan any file for Virus Malware Free of cost-Some times we get a file from a friend or a relative and want it to save on our computer hard disk but we are not sure that weather it is Virus/Malware free. Some times some file or program already existing on our hard disk behaves abnormally even after scanning and creates a doubt of a virus/malware in it. In such cases the free online scanning website ‘jotti’ may prove very helpful to us.

Jotti's malware scan is a free to use online service that enables you to scan suspicious files. Jotti is not depending on a single virus scanner but it scans the files and documents with several anti-virus programs. Scanners used are Linux versions and therefore some times detection results may have differences with Windows versions of the same scanners. This difference may occur due to implementation differences. There is a 25MB limit per file and files larger than 25 MB will not be accepted by Jotti for an online scan. Please bear in mind that no Virus scanner/security solution offers 100% protection, not even when it uses several anti-virus engines. In the same way Jotti also does not give you a guarantee of 100 per cent  protection.

Please note that files uploaded to jotti are shared with anti-virus companies so detection accuracy of their anti-virus products can be improved but never with  a bad intension or for the purpose of misuse. Files submitted to jotti are distributed to various scanners but no violation of privacy is reported however If you do not want your files to be distributed to other scanners you may not send them at all.

However you can read more about this in their privacy policy here.

  3. Yes the file from a friend or a relative may contain any type of malware and we must always scan them before we copy any data from such media on our system
