How to Delete Files Directly without Sending them to Recycle bin-Creating and deleting files is a constant process fro computer users. Windows has a prescribe process for deleting files. Normally the deleted file is moved to recycle bin where it is dumped but the space on our hard drive is not emptied. This process has an advantage that if we have deleted a file erroneously, we can restore it from the recycle bin and to free real space we have to delete again from the recycle bin. If you are sure to delete the files permanently this is easily possible. To do so Just follow these simple steps.

Right click the Recycle bin icon on your desk top. Now the following screen will appear


 Click Properties. Now the following screen will


 Now select ‘Do not move files to the recycle bin. Remove files immediately when deleted’

If you want to see a delete confirmation message before deletion check the box before ‘Display delete confirmation Dialog’

Now click OK

Now your system has been set to delete all documents directly and no document will be sent to the recycle bin.

You can reverse the setting easily at any time. Just follow the above procedure, Uncheck ‘Do not move files to the recycle bin. Remove files immediately when deleted’ and save setting. Now your previous settings will be reversed and all deleted files will moved to the recycle bin.

Deleting Selective files Directly without moving to the Recycle bin



This is very easy. Just right click the file that you want to delete permanently.
If you want to select more than one file to delete Press and hold the ‘CTRL’ key during selection.
Select ‘Cut’
Hold down the Shift key on your keyboard.


Click Delete while holding the Shift key,.
Confirm the file deletion and the file will be deleted permanently.
