Broad band connection in windows-How to create it-While we start want to connect to the internet there are many ways to connection, and the most popular and the high speed  system is the broad band connection. There is a standard procedure in each version of window to create a new connection. it is as under in the windows XP -

 There are two ways to create a new broad band connection in Windows XP.
1-      Click Start>All Programs>accessories>Communications>New Connection Wizard
2-      Click start>Control Panel>Network Connections>Create a New Connection

Rest of the procedure is same for both the above. When you click “New Connection Wizard” or “Create a New Connection”, following screen will appear. –
Simply click next to go to the next step now the following screen will appear. –

Here ensure that “Connect to the internet” is selected and simply click “Next”, now following screen will appear –

Here ensure that “Setup my connection Manually” is selected and click “Next”, now following screen will appear –

Here ensure that “Connect using a broadband connection that requires a user name and password” is selected and click “Next”, now following screen will appear –

Here you can Enter the name of your service provider like BSNL, Tataindicom etc., You can leave it blank also. If you leave it blank the system will automatically pick the name of your service provider like “BSNL Broad Band” or so. Now the most Important screen will appear –

Here fill the columns very carefully
1.       In the user name space you have to write the user name given by your service provider exactly, otherwise your connection will not work.
2.       In the pass word space you have to write correct pass word.
3.       In the confirm pass word space you have to write correct pass word again.
Rest two small boxes are optional. You may tick or leave blank as per your choice and  click “Next”, now following screen will appear –

Simply click add a short cut to this connection to my desktop and click Finish.
That’s all and your broad band connection is ready. A short cut to your desktop will be created automatically.
